Unmotivated

Have you had tasks that you just don't want to do. You look at it. You pick it up, or you open the file. Then you stare at it and put it back down. I'm sort of feeling this way. I really have the urge to slack off.

I'm not even a procrastinator. I'm not sure what the issue is. I guess I'd rather just go to bed than finish my work.

It happens to be best of us.

Reminds me of a Calvin and Hobbes cartoon: Calvin explains that the way to deal with difficult tasks is to break them down into small manageable pieces and do one bit at a time. He instances a book report he should be writing. Hobbes asks what he will do first, write an opening sentence? "No," Calvins says, "First, I ask myself if I'm interested in doing this." And he throws the book away.
